Animal And Plant Tissues Under The Microscope, Grade 7

Through this lab activity, students gained a clear understanding of the structure and function of animal and plant tissues. They learned to identify muscle tissue with striated, elongated cells responsible for movement, and nervous tissue with neurons specialized for signal transmission. In plants, they observed parenchyma for storage and photosynthesis, collenchyma for flexible support, and sclerenchyma for mechanical strength. This hands-on experience improved their microscope skills and deepened their appreciation of how different tissues contribute to the organization and functioning of living organisms.
